My new LOVE

So many of you may know the story but for those of you that do not here it goes.....Stephan "Finn" Emile Jr. came into our lives October 19th, 2009. After weeks of waiting to go into labor, Dr. Bloss decided to induce on my due date, Monday October 19th! On Sunday, Stephan and I along with my parents and grandparents went to church and lunch preparing to wake up at 2am to head to the hospital. Of course, I was very nervous and I knew it would be difficult for me to go to sleep and I tried but it never happened! Around midnight I starting having what I now know were contraction and after battling them for 2 hours alone I woke up Stephan and said we need to go to the hospital now. Of course, he thought I was kidding but after seeing the pain I was he started packing the car.

We got to the hospital and after 2 hours I received the epidural and was 5 cm dilated. Finally, I was in heaven. I took a nap and before I knew it I was fully dilated and ready to push. Three short pushes later my baby boy was born at 10:30am weighing 7 lbs 11 ounces measuring 20 inches! After all of my worrying he was here and healthy!!! Life will never be the same!!

We're Back

So I left the blogger for a while to try out a different website but I have decided to keep life simple and change back....sorry to confuse any of you...but those who know me...i can never make up my mind! ha

It's a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all-

Stephan and I, along with Nana, Pape, and Gran went to the doctor for our 20 week appointment!!! Dr. Bloss took several measurements of the baby and discovered that we are having a BABY BOY!!!! We could not be happier. The baby looks perfect and is doing just fine. Dr. Bloss said the baby weighs 10 oz and is measuring about 6 inches long.

He has been kicking away and should be kicking hard enough for his dad and everyone else to feel.

Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers during this time and an extended thank you to those special people out there that have helped me through all of my worrying moments. Without you, I do not know what I would do. It means so much to Stephan and I and we feel so blesseed to have so many wonderful people in our lives.

P.S--To those of you wondering what we are naming our little boy, we are working on it. We are pretty sure on our name, but we want to think about it over the weekend.

NANNIE NIK!!

Stephan and I asked Nicole to be the Godmother of our baby. She has been so great already and is already spoiling Baby Raynal with tons of cute gifts!!!!

Celebrating with the Raynals

Chloe had a fun weekend playing in Diamondhead and at the pool at Granny K's!!

4 months

It's been 4 months and I am feeling great. We went to the doctor last Monday for a normal checkup and to hear the heartbeat. Baby Raynal's heartbeat was perfect, 152 beats/minute. We go back to see Dr. Bloss May 27 to find out the sex of the baby!!!! We are sooo very excited to know if Baby Raynal is a girl or a boy. Keep checking out the blog to see if things change to PINK OR BLUE!!!

The Godfather!!

Uncle Blakey was in town after finishing his first year of Med School!!Since we will not see him again until after the baby is born, I gave him an early birthday present---We asked him to be Baby Raynals GODFATHER by giving him THE GODFATHER series!! Of course, he accepted while making fun of the way I asked him!!

We love you Parrin and can't wait to see you soon.

3 Months!!

11 week Appointment

St. Martin

Stephan and I went to St. Martin to visit Uncle Blakey at school. It was beautiful and we had an amazing time with Nana and Pape.

2 Months!

1st Doctor's Visit

It's real!! I still can not believe it. Today, Stephan and I heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time and it was incredible. It is amazing to see and hear something so small. Dr. Bloss said the baby is about 2.6 cm and will be here October 19th!! We are so excited and can not wait for all that pregnancy has in store for us.
