Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day weekend!! Steph had to work on Saturday so Finn and I took off with Mom and Dad to head to Diamondhead to see MawMaw and PawPaw!!! It was a great to see them since they have been in Canada for the past week and a half! We went to church, dinner, and then headed back to Thibodaux to the Raynals to see Dada!!!

Steph is a great dad and Im not just saying that because it is a Father's Day post, ha! When I sit down and think of the way he helps me and the way he interacts with Finn it is really amazing! He loves to swing Finn outside, gives Finn a great fun bath, and I think he loves to sit in amazement of the new things Finn can do.....truthfully I think Stephan is amazed at Finn. Since he was not around many children growing up he is constantly surprised at how much they change and I love his excitement of this!!! He is very open to doing anything that I ask for Finn and I really do appreciate this....although probably not enough he does do is fair share and from what I hear alot more than our Dads have!!!!! Oh and I can not forgot about how much he loves his Chloe girl!!!! Although we have a "real" child now, Steph still has a very special place for Chloe!!!!! Steph doesn't care to feed Finn or change his diapers but he does has one special talent that we often high five each other at night.....he is the bounce master!!! He has this magic way of bouncing Finn to sleep at night and I have to say he does it better than me!!! :-)

We wouldn't be the great little family that we are if it were not for Stephs hardwork to provide a great life for us!!! Thanks for everything Bam!! We all love you!!!

And what about my Daddy!!!!! What a man! He inspires me and always has.....I love his spirt and his excitement about everything!! Whether it is new business venture, another pot of beans he's cooked, a new restaurant he's discovered, or a new work out move he's mastered...he gets excited and it makes me happy!! He makes me strive to be a better person everyday and I am so thankful to have someone like him in my life!! Now that I am a parent myself....I understand why you kissed me one hundred times a day or at least tried to because I find myself constantly kissing Finn-- I love you Daddy and am so thankful for everything!!!!

xoxo

Swimming Lessons!!

Finn waiting for his lesson!!

Finn started his first swimming lesson this past week and it has been pretty eventful!!! My friend, Vera, has taught swimming lessons for the past 13 years so we comissioned her to teach at Mrs. Karens pool. Since Finn is under 1, we are doing water babies with a patient/friend of mine, Tricia and her little boy Cy....we all get in the water and Vera shows us how to teach them about the water!!

Both boys have done really well and love the water....it was so fun to see the two of them interact! Cy was born on October 11 and Finn October 19 so they are just 8 days apart (I think) so they are both at the same stage!!

Water babies go first and the big kids go afterwards.....that would be Joseph(Caroline s), Jacques(Vera's), Katherine(Julie's), Isabelle(Ashley's), and Grant(Amanda's) so it is a full pool!!! The kids are absolutely halarious and have made this past week pretty stressful!! For the most part, they all love the water but when Mrs. Vera makes them go under they get pretty nervous and if one starts to cry they all end up crying.......they are not even my children and I was getting pretty stressed out......needless to say.....we all needed wine after this week! ha!!!!

Raynal Vegas Vacation 2010

My inlaws took us to Vegas for our first official Raynal Family Vacation as the 6 of us (minus Finn) and it was a blast!! We had alot planned and had a lot of fun walking to all of the casions on the strip and gambling our money away!! We stayed at the Venetian which was beautiful but it is also HUGE!!! I was in Vegas 5 years away and it has grown....especially the Venetian and Caesars Palace. Caesars seems like it is 5 blocks long now and both have incredible shopping and awesome restaurants. We went to see Terry Fator, a, Beatles LOVE Cirque de Soleil, and Frank Caliendo a comedian/impressionist so it was full of night time entertainment. All of the entertainment was awesome, I particularly liked Beatles LOVE! The aerobics were amazing! Stephan kept telling me the entire time that his eyes were killing him and that he felt like he was on drugs because there was so much going on! I would defiently ventriqist recommend it if you are going there.

Being the foodie I am, you know i researched for weeks where we were going to eat and I have to say we ate at some amazing places. We went to Tao in the Venetian which is a very trendy Asian/Sushi style restaurant and club.......it was very cool but the food wasn't anything to brag on. Saturday, we went to Wolfgang Puck's CUT Steakhouse, since I am not a steak lover Stephan helped me pick this restaurant since he loves steak and he was very impressed and said that it was one of best steaks they have had---that's pretty good coming from him!!!
Sunday we went to RAOs an Italian restaurant from NYC and it was delicious...my favorite! I do not like to eat Italian alot but if I know its authentic especially from NYC I will definitely indulge and I did.

It was a great trip filled with many memories. You are probably wondering....where was Finn??He stayed with Mom and Dad.....yes she has 6 broken ribs so it was not the best time for babysitting right....but since I have the awesome family that I do....Aunt Donna came down to help mom as well as my Nannie and Uncle Chris and MawMaw and PawPaw. They were all in Grand Isle at our new camp. Finn did well....he slept all night every night, crawled all day, and ate all day. I think he was little spoiled right????????
