Week 4 Aunt Myra's Wedding!

A little out of order but here is Week 4!

Week 4 was a big week for all of us! Aunt Myra and Bill.....i should now call him Uncle Bill but I just can't....finally got married! We have been looking forward to this day for a long time and it came and went too quickly!

Finn was in New Orleans the entire time in the very excited hands of his Granny K , Papa, and Nannie! He did very well and had a ton of first including his first trip to Bourbon Street along with metting lots of new people!!

Congrats Aunt Myra and Uncle Bill! We had so much fun!!

Baptism

Finn's Baptism was at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. He are a few pictures at the church with Father Jay and Finn in his gown. My grandmother, MawMaw, made this gown by hand when she was pregnant for my mom---so it is 49 years old! Sorry mom for giving your age away but that it pretty incredible! Thanks MawMaw for your many talents.

Week 3

Week 3

Finn went to the Doctor and gained 4 oz and grew a 1/2 of an inch!!!

He has been growing so much and we are loving it! He is sleeping better and usually sleeps 5 and 6 hours straight through the night.

He got to meet a few more family members---My Dads mom, Mame, Mr. Emiles parents, Maw Maw and Paw Paw Raynal, my Aunt Myra, Bill, Gigi Aunt Nancy and Aunt Kaki. They were very excited to meet our new addition!

Also, in preparation for Aunt Myra and Bill's Big Day .they are getting married November 21) Finn got his first bottle of breast milk this weekend! Mrs. Karen will be babysitting in New Orleans while we are at the wedding so she will be giving him bottles. He loved the bottle and Daddy loved that he was able to feed him!!

Finn took his newborn pictures at MandyLens Photography in Thibodaux and he was sooooo cute!!! Granny K gave us the Watch me Grow package so we will be taking lots of pictures in the next year.....Thanks Granny K! Here are a few from the shoot-- The proofs will be here soon!

Week 2

Week 2 has been another Great week for Finn! It started off with a visit to the Doctor. Finn is back to his birth weight of 7lbs 11oz which means Mommy doesn't have to wake him up every 2 hours to eat! He decides when he is hungry which is still every 3-4 hours. We made a switch to Nana and Pape's house this week and Finn is trying to sleep in his bed. We attempt to put him in his bed after every feeding but the longest he will stay without crying is about 45 minutes!!!! We just tell ourselves he is only 9 days so it will get better..........

Week 1 was GREAT! My mom stayed at our house to help out and gosh am I thankful! What would we do without her!!! I do not think I could ever tell my mom thank you enough for all that she has done for us! Thanks Mom...we love you!!

We had lots of visitors and Finn finally got to meet his Parrain Blakey!!! Thanks to all of our friends and family for visiting! Finn had his first Doctor's appointment on Thursday. He did well although he hates having his clothes taken off to weigh! He did loose a little weight but that is very normal for the first week! Also....as you can see from the picture...Finn already likes to suck his thumb....hmmm what will we do about that????

My new LOVE

So many of you may know the story but for those of you that do not here it goes.....Stephan "Finn" Emile Jr. came into our lives October 19th, 2009. After weeks of waiting to go into labor, Dr. Bloss decided to induce on my due date, Monday October 19th! On Sunday, Stephan and I along with my parents and grandparents went to church and lunch preparing to wake up at 2am to head to the hospital. Of course, I was very nervous and I knew it would be difficult for me to go to sleep and I tried but it never happened! Around midnight I starting having what I now know were contraction and after battling them for 2 hours alone I woke up Stephan and said we need to go to the hospital now. Of course, he thought I was kidding but after seeing the pain I was he started packing the car.

We got to the hospital and after 2 hours I received the epidural and was 5 cm dilated. Finally, I was in heaven. I took a nap and before I knew it I was fully dilated and ready to push. Three short pushes later my baby boy was born at 10:30am weighing 7 lbs 11 ounces measuring 20 inches! After all of my worrying he was here and healthy!!! Life will never be the same!!
